Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking candidates for the Store Manager Trainee (SMT) Program in Georgia. Trainees will receive in-store operations training, online learning, role immersion, and live events to prepare for a Store Manager role.

The program emphasizes completing all training requirements, participating in live trainings, and gaining readiness for management responsibilities. Placement is based on performance and geographic needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; three (3) years experience in practical supervisory retail and/or sales.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License and be able to travel overnight.
• Program completion leads to placement into a permanent Store Manager position.

Responsibilities

• Completes all Farmers Academy training, Thrive Program rotations, and live events.
• Supports daily store operations including sales, credit, collections, and office tasks.
• Operates POS systems and other operational tools; handles customer payments and approvals.
• Assists with inventory, displays, promotions, and sales events.
• May manage a store location in the Store Manager’s absence and travel to other locations.
