Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture in North Carolina offers a Store Manager Trainee (SMT) Program designed to develop well rounded store leaders through in-store training, online learning, role based immersion and live training events. The SMT will support daily store operations, master POS systems, assist with sales and inventories, and may work across locations as needed to meet training requirements.

Upon successful completion, the SMT becomes eligible for placement into a permanent Store Manager role

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years experience in practical supervisory retail or sales.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily store operations including sales, credit, collections, warehouse and office functions.
• Operates point of sale systems and computer applications.
• Sells merchandise, creates installment contracts, and processes payments.
• Assists with inventory, displays, promotions and events.
• Travels to other locations as needed for training and coverage.
