Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture offers a Store Manager Trainee (SMT) program designed to develop well-rounded store leaders through in-store operational training, online learning, role-based immersion, and live training events at multiple locations.

The SMT will learn and demonstrate proficiency in store operations while supporting daily store functions and preparing for a permanent Store Manager role upon program completion and business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years experience in practical supervisory retail and/or sales experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver's License and be able to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Completes Farmers Academy training, Thrive rotations, live events, projects, assessments, and documentation.
• Attends initial online Orientation to review structure and timelines.
• Participates in weekly SMT Check In Meetings.
• Assists in day-to-day store operations including sales, credit, collections, and inventory.
• Operates point of sale systems and store operations tools.
• Sells merchandise, processes payments, and assists with account approvals.
