Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to assist the Store Manager in daily store operations, staffing, inventory, and customer service leadership. The role is a development path for future Store Manager responsibilities and is for a limited period.

The candidate will participate in recruiting, merchandising, inventory processes, cash controls, and store policy adherence while ensuring a safe, well-stocked environment.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of leadership or managerial experience.
• Two or more years of experience in a retail grocery store preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Support merchandising and stocking following established practices.
• Help with inventory management including damages and markdowns.
• Assist in reviewing operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Provide customer service leadership and cashier accountability.
• Assist in store opening/closing activities and daily paperwork.
