Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Store Manager in Training to learn how to manage the profitable operations of the store by maintaining merchandising standards, display techniques, and inviting signage to create an engaging shopping environment.

You will recruit and develop associates, oversee daily activities, ensure policy compliance, and work to maximize profitability while protecting assets in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years retail management experience preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required.
• Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs., frequent walking/standing and other physical tasks with/without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers.
• Foster growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandising while coaching and correcting when appropriate.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate headquarters.
• Help store reach maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
