Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to assist the Store Manager in daily store operations, staffing, inventory, and customer service leadership in Jacksonville, FL. This role is designed to develop external candidates for the Store Manager position and to be held for a limited period.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit controls.
• Ability to learn and perform IBM cash register functions and generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and stocking according to established practices.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and prepare inventories.
• Follow prescribed ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Follow company procedures and policies as outlined in the handbook and SOPs.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities.
• Assist in maintaining cash control and safe deposits.
• Support compliance with company security practices and policies.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and a safe environment for customers and employees.
• Work under the Store Manager in their absence and review operating statements for trends.
