Job summary

Books-A-Million in Mount Juliet, TN seeks a Manager in Training to collaborate with our management team to maximize sales and customer service. The MIT program leads toward a store leadership role with ongoing development and hands-on store operations.

You will rotate through duties such as leading the store, directing daily activities, handling customer concerns, supervising associates, and helping with scheduling. Upon successful completion, you may receive your own store opportunity.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in business-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maximizes profits and customer service by leading and operating the store in accordance with policy.
• Acts as Manager On-Duty with the management team.
• Directs store activities under the General Manager’s guidance.
• Handles customer concerns to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Maintains merchandising, cleanliness and product flow under the General Manager.
