Job summary

ALDI is seeking a Store Manager Trainee to develop the skills needed to lead a store, deliver outstanding customer service, and create a positive work environment. You will work with experienced leaders to ensure operational excellence and drive sales growth during rapid expansion across the United States.

The role is full-time with estimated 45 hours per week. Starting wage is $29.50 per hour, with potential earnings up to $107,000 in year 1 (including bonus where applicable).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior management experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to lead and develop store personnel.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel within divisional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports to ensure desired results; leads and develops store personnel.
• Develops and implements action plans using company provided resources to improve operating results.
• Oversees the resolution of employee and customer concerns, aligning with the district manager, as needed.
• Interviews candidates for store positions and provides recommendations to the district manager.
• Manages personnel, including recommendations for advancement and termination as appropriate.
• Communicates with ALDI personnel, customers, vendors and partners to ensure operations run smoothly.
