O'Reilly Automotive Stores in Johnson City, TN is seeking a motivated candidate to assist the store manager in sales, appearance, and overall operations as part of a manager-in-training program. The objective is hands-on training preparing the candidate for a management position at another store or future location.

The role emphasizes leadership, team development, safety, daily KPIs, and collaboration with the district and store managers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.
• O’Reilly store and/or distribution center experience.
• Completed O’Reilly management training program.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in sales, appearance and operations.
• Supervise professional and retail operations of store and team members.
• Participate in recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and discharge decisions.
• Train new team members and conduct performance evaluations.
• Assist in hiring process including interviews and candidate evaluation.
• Support safety compliance and training across the team.
• Make sales calls with/without store manager.
• Manage maintenance of delivery fleet and vehicle records.
• Review monthly P&L with store manager and identify opportunities.
