Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking a Store Manager Trainee in the United States to lead store operations with hands-on leadership, from stocking and merchandising to customer service and standards. This program develops teams, drives results, and prepares you to run a store with industry-leading training and growth opportunities in a fast-paced retail environment.

Starting wage is $27.25 per hour, with earning potential of $76,000–$95,000 in year one, inclusive of salary and bonus where applicable.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment and prior management experience.
• Willingness to travel within divisional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports to ensure desired results; leads and develops store personnel.
• Develops and implements action plans using company provided resources to improve operating results.
• Oversees the appropriate resolution of employee and customer concerns, aligning with the district manager as needed.
• Interviews candidates for store positions and provides recommendations to the district manager.
• Manages personnel, including recommending personnel for advancement and termination as appropriate.
• Communicates, cooperates, and interacts effectively with all levels of ALDI personnel, customers, vendors and business partners.
• Leads, develops, and supervises the team to develop sales and achieve high performance.
• Ensures a safe working environment by identifying hazards and maintaining equipment in good condition.
