Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in executing store processes. This role focuses on employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, stocking, receiving, paperwork, and daily store needs, with the position intended for development toward the Store Manager role.

The candidate will assist in recruiting, merchandising, inventory control, and cash handling while ensuring safety and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Understanding of inventory and merchandising practices.
• Experience in staff recruiting, training and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and proper pricing of merchandise.
• Assist in inventory management including damages and markdowns; conduct inventories.
• Follow ordering practices to meet or exceed in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and model company procedures.
