Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in daily operations, including staffing, merchandising, inventory management, and store needs. This role is designed to develop external candidates for the Store Manager position and is held for a limited period.

You will assist in recruiting, stocking merchandise, managing inventories, and ensuring cash control, safety, and customer service excellence in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and stocking according to established practices.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and paperwork.
• Monitor in-stock targets and cash handling procedures.
