Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager with staffing, inventory, merchandising and daily store operations. This role is designed to develop an external candidate for the Store Manager track and is held for a limited period.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and retail experience, with the ability to lead teams, handle cash controls, and provide excellent customer service. Some travel between stores may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and pricing.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and store controls.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Maintain safe, clean and well-stocked stores.
