Position Purpose

Store Managers (SMs) are accountable for leading profitable operations of their store. SMs are responsible for executing the company's retail strategy focusing on customer service, in-stock, and store appearance. They achieve profitability by coaching associates, analyzing reports, monitoring market trends, and executing improvement plans. SMs communicate the retail strategy effectively, stay engaged in all business aspects, and develop leadership within their teams. They lead by example, ensuring consistent results in sales, service, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. 15% Communicate and partner with the District Manager to drive alignment and ensure strategy execution.
2. 15% Analyze sales and financial reports to identify opportunities and guide the team.
3. 10% Conduct store walks to assess sales, service, and profitability, and review with leadership teams.
4. 20% Facilitate staff meetings, monitor engagement, and foster a positive work environment.
5. 20% Coach and train management and associates on operational standards and safety.
6. 20% Support new initiatives, evaluate stock levels, and drive inventory turns.

Additional Details

Reports to: District Manager

Direct Reports: 4-9

Travel: Less than 10% overnight travel

Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, lifting, and other physical activities

Work Conditions: Indoor environment, occasional mild discomfort

Minimum Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years merchandising/operational experience
• 3+ years leadership, preferably in big box retail
• Flexible schedule, minimum 55 hours/week

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of work experience
