Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is seeking a motivated, team-oriented individual for a Full-Time Retail Store Manager in Training position at our Lapeer store located at 1945 W Genesee St.

Responsibilities include: overall management of the retail store in the absence of the Store Manager, achieving sales, margin, and production goals, and developing skills to manage the store as a full manager.

Position details: Full-Time, $19/hour with Monthly Bonus Potential! and a 20% discount on in-store purchases.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to meet retail goals
  • Help increase sales per square foot through proper pricing and merchandising
  • Support increasing bottom-line contribution via effective resource management
  • Price, display, and maintain merchandise properly
  • Enhance donations by providing excellent service to donors
  • Assist in hiring, training, motivating, and communicating with staff

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum three years of management or supervisory experience
  • Five years of retail, production, or customer service experience preferred
  • Must have telephone access and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel up to 50 miles or 1.5 hours from the store; mileage provided
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds, reach, bend, stand for 6-8 hours, and operate equipment like pallet jacks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and professional demeanor
