Job summary

Journeys in the United States is seeking a Store Manager to recruit, hire, train, and lead store personnel to meet sales goals while protecting company assets. You will manage daily operations, drive customer service, and uphold Journeys standards.

The role requires prior retail management experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work 45 hours per week, including nights and weekends. Training programs leading to Manager in Training are available.

Qualifications

• Prior retail management experience preferred.
• 1–2 years retail sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work 45 hours per week.
• Age 18+ and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Completion of training programs leading up to Manager in Training position or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals.
• Recruit, interview, and hire high-caliber employees.
• Train and develop a successful sales team.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing all company policies and practices.
• Ensure that all company initiatives are properly implemented and to the standard of the company direction.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews.
• Recognize talented staff and develop them for growth within the company.
• Supervise and manage all aspects of daily store operations.
• Supervise and manage Loss Prevention practices.
• Plan weekly staffing schedules in compliance with schedules policy.
• Provide a fun, full service experience to all customers.
• Resolve customer issues effectively.
• Complete bank deposits.
• Understand the Journeys culture and demonstrate it to the team.
