Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in everyday store operations, supervising staff, managing inventory, stocking, receiving, paperwork and other needs. This role is a developmental step for external candidates and is limited in duration.

The candidate will assist with hiring, merchandising, inventory controls, cash handling, store opening/closing, and ensuring a safe, well-stocked environment while upholding company policies.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience in retail is advantageous.
• Ability to recruit, hire and train staff and ensure compliance with policies.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Support store merchandising and proper pricing, signing and layout.
• Assist in inventory management, damages, markdowns and paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and store opening/closing duties.
• Maintain cash controls, deposits and security practices.
• Ensure a safe, clean, well-stocked store environment.
• Review financials and identify trends and opportunities.
