Job summary

AAFES Fort Meade seeks a seasoned retail store manager to plan, direct, and optimize merchandising, stocking, promotions, and staff performance in a high-regulation environment.

You will establish financial goals, supervise associates, ensure compliance with loss prevention, accounting, and EPA policies, and drive customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Three years of retail management experience within last five years.
• Or Bachelor's degree and one year of retail management experience within the last five years.
• Fuel management compliance within three months of assuming position.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the operations of a retail branch store.
• Establishes financial goals to maximize sales, profit, SSR, productivity, turns, and inventory.
• Maintains compliance, as applicable, in loss prevention, accounting, money transfers, internal controls, environmental issues and EPA/environmental agencies/organizations policies.
• Evaluates and enhances customer service and customer satisfaction.
• Supervises, trains, develops, hires, and schedules associates for current positions and future growth.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

Plans, manages, and directs retail store operations dealing with merchandising, selling, stocking, promoting and reordering of goods, financials, and personnel. Environmental regulations are stringent. As a volume-based position, grading is dependent on maintaining sales in accordance with published Volume Standards.
