Job summary

Dollar Tree in Newton, IA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is properly organized and stocked throughout the store.

The role requires strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach in a fast-paced retail environment. This is a part-time position with opportunities for growth within the store team at Dollar Tree.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or similar environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store areas to company standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Ensure a clean, stocked, and safe store environment.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; supervise and develop Store Associates.
