Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring proper staffing and adherence to labor laws.
- Communicate performance expectations, conduct performance reviews, and address employee issues.
- Oversee store opening and closing procedures, ensuring a safe and organized environment.
- Analyze operating statements to identify sales trends, control expenses, and minimize shrinkage.
- Manage inventory levels through ordering, cycle counts, and stock presentation according to company standards.
- Maintain accurate cash handling, security, and safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a clean, secure shopping environment.
- Follow company policies, complete documentation, and ensure staff compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to interpret manuals, perform calculations, and handle cash procedures.
- Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and safety practices.
- Effective communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred high school diploma and management experience in retail.
- Potential preference for bilingual (Spanish) speakers, depending on location.
Physical & Working Conditions
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
- Use of equipment like scanners, pricing guns, and carts.
- Occasional outdoor exposure and driving for store-related tasks.
- Fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels.
