Boem’s flagship brick and mortar store is located in the heart of Charlotte’s SouthPark neighborhood. Our e-commerce website launched in 2015, we opened a second location South End’s Atherton Mill in 2020, and our third location opened in Blakeney in 2022.

Position Overview:

As the Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation and success of our retail store. Working closely with the Director of Operations and Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily activities, managing staff, ensuring exceptional guest service, and driving sales to achieve business objectives. Your leadership, organizational skills, and passion for delivering an outstanding shopping experience will contribute to the store's growth and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates and support staff.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Hold regular 1-1s with your team to ensure performance expectations and team satisfaction

Sales and Guest Experience:

  • Implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective actions.
  • Ensure Guest Experience standards are maintained at all times.
  • Handle guest complaints or issues with empathy and professionalism.

Inventory and Visual Merchandising:

  • Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, replenishment, and inventory controls.
  • Ensure the store's visual merchandising adheres to company guidelines and promotes a compelling shopping experience.
  • Regularly review sales data to identify fast-moving products and slow sellers, adjusting inventory accordingly.

Store Operations:

  • Maintain the overall cleanliness, organization, and safety of the store.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Monitor and control expenses to optimize store profitability.
  • Develop and manage the store's budget, including sales forecasts and expense planning.
  • Analyze financial reports and take actions to achieve financial objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth.

Marketing and Promotions:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotional activities and marketing campaigns.
  • Drive local marketing initiatives to increase foot traffic and brand awareness.
  • Engage with the community to build relationships and enhance the store's presence, including performing weekly guest outreach.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Train staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred, but not mandatory).
  • Proven experience as a Store Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional guest service orientation with a passion for delivering positive experiences.
  • Proficient in sales analysis and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with retail software systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including four weekend days a month and holidays.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with tact.
  • Enthusiastic, results-driven, and a self-starter.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
