Job description

Responsible for managing store operations, staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to ensure effective execution of processes such as ordering, stocking, merchandising, and customer service.

Key Duties:

• Recruit, select, train, and retain qualified employees; ensure proper staffing and conduct performance reviews.
• Communicate expectations on performance, conduct, and safety; promote a safe store environment.
• Evaluate business trends through operating statements; manage inventory to meet stock targets and control shrinkage.
• Oversee merchandise presentation, pricing, and signage; maintain accurate inventory levels and store security.
• Ensure excellent customer service and maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
• Adhere to company policies, complete documentation, and ensure compliance with labor laws and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Ability to interpret manuals, perform mathematical calculations, and handle cash procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and safety practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred high school diploma and management experience in retail.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred at some locations.

Physical & Work Environment:

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and handling merchandise.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 55 pounds occasionally.
• Occasional climbing and driving for store operations.
• Fast-paced environment with moderate noise; exposure to outside weather possible.
