Job description

Job Description: Store Manager

The Store Manager oversees daily store operations to ensure smooth and effective functioning. Responsibilities include managing scheduling, customer service, marketing, merchandising, inventory, financial reporting, and safety. The role involves developing, motivating, and managing store employees, as well as creating business strategies to meet sales goals and increase market share by serving large commercial clients and retail customers.

This position typically requires a 48-hour workweek, which may include evenings and weekends.

Work Environment and Safety

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work without sponsorship
  • Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodation
  • At least one year of leadership or supervisory experience
  • At least one year of retail, sales, or customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience selling paint and related products
  • Experience with CRM or timekeeping systems
  • Associate degree or higher in business, sales, or marketing
  • Experience as an Assistant Store or Branch Operations Manager at Sherwin-Williams
  • Willingness to relocate for future opportunities
  • Multilingual abilities, especially in Spanish
Responsibilities
  • Develop strategies to increase sales and profitability
  • Train, motivate, and provide feedback to staff to meet sales goals
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Maintain product knowledge for effective customer assistance
  • Build relationships with wholesale and retail clients
  • Complete store administration tasks
  • Ensure compliance with safety, loss prevention, and security policies
  • Maintain store appearance and visual merchandising standards
  • Provide accurate and timely reports
  • Manage employee training, performance, and corrective actions
  • Address customer and employee complaints
  • Collaborate with Sales Reps for outside sales efforts
