Job summary

AutoZone’s Store Management team leads the way in delivering exceptional service and store performance. The MIT role offers hands-on leadership development and structured training to prepare you for a Retail Store Management position.

Within 8–12 weeks, progression to management is possible based on performance. The program emphasizes customer service excellence, operational know-how, and teamwork in a fast-paced automotive retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Full-time flexible schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong communication in both Spanish and English.
• Experience in automotive retail or analyzing company financials (e.g., P&L) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Live The Pledge and deliver WOW customer service to foster a high-performing store team.
• Maintain clear, effective communication with employees and customers to drive execution.
• Learn to manage, analyze, and reconcile monthly P&L statements to optimize profitability.
• Support store operations, ensure policy compliance, and uphold structured training processes.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training to develop a strong team.
