Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in daily operations, staffing, inventory, stocking, and paperwork. This role involves developing external candidates for advancement and is a temporary position.

You will assist in recruiting, merchandising, inventory control, and cash handling while upholding company policies. This role requires reliability, teamwork, and strong communication across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Two or more years of leadership or managerial experience.
• Two or more years of experience in a retail grocery store.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and stocking according to store manager direction.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and prepare inventories.
• Follow prescribed ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
