Job summary

Ross Stores in Beaumont, CA, is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to help maintain a safe and secure shopping environment. You will monitor entrances, identify theft indicators, and partner with Store Leadership to minimize shortages while upholding the Ross brand.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of retail supervisor or loss prevention training, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the store team.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for associates and customers.
• Provides visible command presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor in a vest.
• Removes clutter and ensures safe, clear egress to emergency exits.
• Delivers great customer service with greeting, eye contact, and courtesy.
• Engages with internal and external partners; may participate in district meetings and trainings.
• Supports loss prevention initiatives and other duties as assigned.
• Represents Ross brand professionally and adheres to dress code.
• Monitors theft indicators and communicates findings to leadership.
