Job summary

The Store Manager Candidate supports the Store Manager in the effective implementation of all store processes including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, stocking and receiving, paperwork, and store needs. This position is utilized to foster interactive development of an external candidate for the Store Manager role and is to be held for a limited period.

Qualifications

• Reading diagrams, safety rules and procedures.
• Strong math skills for calculations and targets.
• Knowledge of cash handling, deposits and cashier accountability.
• Familiarity with IBM cash registers and report generation.
• Inventory, merchandising and pricing knowledge.
• Recruiting, interviewing and lawful employment practices.
• Effective written and spoken communication.
• Interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Bilingual Spanish may be preferred at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and stock management.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and audits.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Adhere to company procedures and policies as outlined in manuals.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensure secure handling of company funds and cash controls.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safe environment.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
