Job summary

Uncle Giuseppe’s in New Jersey is launching a Management Development position designed to train high-potential talent for Store Manager roles. You'll rotate through training with a focus on operations, customer service, and leadership.

This program includes hands-on mentorship, exposure to P&L, shrink control, inventory, and merchandising, with opportunities to lead store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years in a busy grocery or retail environment.
• 3+ years in Assistant Store Manager or similar leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of grocery operations, including product rotation, staffing, scheduling, and safety standards.
• Proven track record of maintaining store excellence and team engagement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations with focus on customer service and workflow.
• Participate in the Management Development Program to prepare for Store Manager.
• Train under Store Manager to learn P&L, shrink management, and store operations.
• Analyze sales trends, expenses, and profitability.
• Coach and motivate team to meet performance standards.
• Assist with scheduling, labor planning, and timekeeping.
• Monitor inventory, assist with ordering and merchandising.
• Lead store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
• Handle customer inquiries and escalate when needed.
• Collaborate with department managers to improve processes and drive sales.
• Assist in training new employees and foster positive work environment.
• Analyze reports to identify opportunities for growth.
