Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Store Manager in Training to assist the store manager with sales, operations, and team leadership. This role develops through scheduled coaching and performance reviews, preparing for a future store manager position at another location.

You will work under the district manager and store manager to recruit, train, and evaluate staff, ensure safety compliance, and drive profitable operations. A data-driven approach supports daily KPI reviews.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are essential.
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.
• O'Reilly store and/or distribution center experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in sales, appearance, and store operations.
• Supervise professional and retail operations of the store and team members.
• Participate in recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting and disciplining staff.
• Train new team members and conduct performance evaluations.
• Support safety training and ensure staff safety compliance.
• Make sales calls with or without the store manager and schedule calls as needed.
• Maintain delivery fleet records and ensure store is neat and organized.
• Review monthly P&L and KPI dashboard with store manager to identify opportunities.
