Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts seeks an Assistant Manager-in-Training to support store operations, sales, and team leadership. The role prepares the candidate for a management position at another location through hands-on experience and targeted training.

Responsibilities include supervising delivery and merchandising staff, recruiting, evaluating, and coaching team members, and helping ensure safety and operational standards across the store. Strong automotive knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; leadership and communication skills essential.
• Complete management certification and sales training programs.
• Ability to read and match numerical characters quickly.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Supervise professional and retail store operations and teams.
• Assist in hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplining staff.
• Maintain safety, scheduling, payroll, and store compliance.
• Monitor KPI dashboard, P&L reviews, and opportunities for improvement.
• Make sales calls and support store management in daily operations.
