Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking candidates for an accelerated Store Manager development track. You will learn store operations across front-end and pharmacy, shadow the Store Manager, and complete certifications to qualify for a Store Manager role.

The program includes classroom and on-the-job training, rotations across nearby stores, and development conversations with district and pharmacy leadership to ensure readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience
• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years retail management experience
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours
• Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets located within the same hiring area
• PTCB Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead one-box store operations across front-end and pharmacy
• Complete accelerated development track to Store Manager
• Shadow Store Manager and District Manager to learn openings/closures and shift leadership
• Engage customers and patients, resolve complaints, and model service best practices
• Supervise merchandising, loss prevention, and price accuracy across store
• Analyze store performance data and develop plans to improve results
• Support Store Manager in planning, community events, and partnerships
• Learn HR systems and people management processes
