Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a candidate to participate in an accelerated Store Manager development track. You will learn end-to-end store operations across front-end and pharmacy, shadowing the Store Manager and gaining exposure to merchandising, inventory, and loss prevention.

The program includes rotations, classroom and on-the-job training, and development conversations with leadership to ensure readiness for a Store Manager role. A multi-store learning path awaits driven professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to accept assignment into a Store Manager position, if an assignment is offered.
• Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets located within the same hiring Area.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the operation (front-end and pharmacy) of a Walgreen store under the Store Manager’s direction.
• Shadows Store Manager and participates in opening/closing shifts and task delegation.
• Learns to supervise merchandising, inventory, pricing, and receiving processes.
• Works to protect store assets and monitor internal loss prevention systems.
• Participates in planning, executing, and reviewing community events and store initiatives.
