Job summary

Dollar General in Lyndon, VT seeks a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in supervising staff, inventory, stocking, cashier controls and paperwork. This role develops an external candidate for the Store Manager position for a limited period.

You will assist with recruiting, merchandising, inventory controls, and store safety while maintaining a high level of customer service and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience in retail or store operations preferred for external candidates.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures and operate cash handling systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and inventory management.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and maintain store appearance.
• Operate store in the manager's absence and review operating statements.
