Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Jennings, LA is seeking a Manager in Training to support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations and sales initiatives. You will gain knowledge across departments and lead by example to promote merchandise and deliver outstanding customer service.

The role includes supervisory duties in the Store Manager's absence, ensuring policy adherence and inventory control while helping to drive store profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Is a self-starter, has initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of the store.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities are completed.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high-quality customer service per the manual.
