Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear is seeking a Manager in Training to assist the Store Manager with overall operations and customer service excellence. You will gain knowledge across departments, promote promotions, and help lead the team in delivering a standout shopping experience.

You will act as a store leader in the manager's absence, uphold company policies, and drive sales, merchandising, and customer satisfaction across all departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear/athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail; multitasking with precision.
• Team-player with passion for customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Help establish action plans for departmental/store responsibilities (selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, scheduling).
• Take on store responsibilities in Store Manager's absence.
• Provide knowledge/guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure quality customer service per manuals and policies.
• Perform administrative duties and assist with Store Manager's responsibilities.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service and promote services/merchandise.
