Job summary

Kimbrell’s Furniture is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in South Carolina to support the Store Manager in daily operations, credit handling, and team performance. You will drive operational excellence, develop staff, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding company policies and professional standards.

You will supervise in the Store Manager’s absence, mentor staff, and help maintain showroom presentation and a high-quality customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in retail preferred.
• Experience with sales, customer service, and/or credit or collections processes preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate company vehicles when required.
• Bilingual (English-Spanish) ability may be a plus based on store staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Support store operations and ensure adherence to policies and performance standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop team to meet sales and service goals.
• Provide performance feedback and assist with employee relations as needed.
• Oversee credit and collection processes in line with company policy and laws.
• Maintain cash handling, payments, deposits, and recordkeeping accuracy.
• Ensure a safe, organized work environment and assist with operations as needed.
