Kimbrell’s Furniture in Anderson, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, drive sales, manage credit processes, and develop the team. You will ensure policy compliance, customer service excellence, and safe, organized store conditions while leading staff in the Store Manager’s absence.

Qualified candidates bring leadership experience in retail, a focus on service, and the ability to coach employees, handle cash, and support promotions and community engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; leadership or supervisory experience in retail preferred.
• Experience with sales, customer service, and credit or collections processes preferred.
• Ability to handle cash and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Support overall store operations and ensure adherence to policies and performance expectations.
• Lead, coach, and develop team to achieve operational, sales, and customer service goals.
• Provide performance feedback and assist with employee relations including coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Supervise store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Maintain high-quality customer experience through professional service and displays.
• Assist with showroom organization and product placement; ensure clean, sales-ready displays.
• Drive sales growth through customer engagement and promotions.
• Oversee credit and collection processes per company policies and laws.
• Assist with customer accounts, contracts, and documentation accuracy.
• Maintain financial controls including cash handling and deposits.
• Ensure privacy compliance for customer information.
• Support administrative functions and daily store organization.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and assist with light merchandise handling.
