Job summary

Rothy’s is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Upper West Side boutique in New York City. You will partner with the Store Manager to lead a team on the floor, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and uphold brand standards in service, selling, and operations.

You’ll coach and develop staff, manage daily store operations, support in-store events, and ensure presentation, merchandising, and dress code align with Rothy’s Experience.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Ability to meet or exceed sales targets through both personal performance and team leadership.
• Strong skills in coaching and developing talent on the sales floor.
• Familiarity with operational processes, including merchandising and shipment.
• Ability to stand/walk an entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and model Rothy’s Experience through exceptional service and selling from the sales floor.
• Build customer loyalty through effective clienteling and relationship-building on the sales floor.
• Drive sales and KPIs by supporting goal-setting, celebrating wins, and reinforcing accountability through daily coaching.
• Assist in the planning and execution of in-store events and activations that grow brand awareness and drive sales.
• Support the team with presentation standards including merchandising, cleanliness, and dress code.
