Job summary

ALDI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, drive sales growth, control expenses, and ensure excellent customer service. You will report to the Store Manager and play a key role in developing staff while upholding ALDI values and policies.

The role requires leadership, staffing, scheduling, and strong communication with teams, customers, and vendors. Full-time hours are 38 per week with starting wages and annual increases outlined above.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: Minimum 18 years old; High school diploma or equivalent; Prior experience in a retail environment and prior management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the resolution of employee and customer concerns with the store manager.
• Assigns responsibilities and communicates expectations to store personnel; leads and develops the team.
• Assists in developing action plans to improve operating results and personnel development.
• Leads store tours during interviews and provides hiring recommendations.
• Keeps the store manager informed of team developments and concerns.
• Interacts with ALDI employees, customers, vendors and partners.
• Drives sales, ensures customer satisfaction, and maintains policy compliance.
• Trains personnel to reach maximum potential using company materials.
• Ensures proper scheduling, expense control, inventory and cash handling.
• Maintains merchandising standards and supports KPI achievement.
• Ensures a safe working environment and enforces procedures.
