Job summary

Sunglass Hut, part of EssilorLuxottica, seeks an Assistant Manager I to join our Glendale store. You will partner with the Store Manager to drive sales, coach associates, and maintain merchandising and brand standards. This role emphasizes leadership, customer engagement, and hands-on operations on the sales floor.

You will recruit, develop talent, and ensure exceptional customer service while meeting performance goals and supporting a culture of inclusivity and authenticity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of experience in a retail or store operations role.
• Demonstrates expertise in every aspect of store operation including sales, coaching, merchandising and customer service.
• Detail-oriented with strong execution and operational discipline.
• Uses critical thinking to deliver absolute execution of store components.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store functions in partnership with Store/Multi Store Manager.
• Sell, coach, merchandise and ensure retail excellence.
• Recruit and interview talent; participate in development plans.
• Spend majority of time on the sales floor and build customer relationships.
• Maintain brand standards and product knowledge; ensure promotions are executed.
