Meijer offers an 11-week Store Leadership Internship designed to develop retail leadership capabilities and store operations knowledge. Interns will work under the guidance of leaders, deliver solutions on real projects, and engage in professional development opportunities.

During the program, interns will interact with senior leaders, present final results, and may transition into full-time roles with structured development and leadership rotations. Some shifts may include nights or weekends.

Formación

• The internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
• Ability to work flexible shifts to gain exposure to the full operation of the store.
• Past leadership responsibilities in work or extracurricular activities strongly preferred.
• Passion for retail and a desire to enter a career in store leadership.
• Drive for results - has focus on the bottom line.
• Customer focus - dedicated to meeting expectations of internal and external customers.
• Relationship skills - can create positive working relationships with customers, team members, leadership, and other internal and external constituencies.
• Action oriented: can manage multiple tasks.
• Decision quality: ability to analyze financial information and/or other data to make informed decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in the day-to-day operations within various departments of the store.
• Serves as the mentor and coach for all team members.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales while ensuring customer needs are met and service is quick and efficient.
• Maintains store appearance with a focus on prime shopping hours, product presentation and company standards.
