Job summary

Meijer Inc. invites students to join its 11-week Store Leadership Internship, designed to build retail knowledge and leadership skills. Interns collaborate on real projects, receive development opportunities, and present to senior leaders.

During the program you’ll work with interns and Meijer leaders, take on an Intern Team Leader role, and potentially convert to a full-time position with leadership rotations that lead toward a Store Director role. Flexible scheduling is available.

Qualifications

• Student currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.
• Past leadership responsibilities preferred.
• Strong customer focus and drive for results.
• Effective communication and relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in the day-to-day operations within the store.
• Mentor and coach team members to ensure customer service and sales goals are met.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Promote a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly service to customers and team members.
