Job summary

Meijer Store Leadership Internship will build a foundation of retail knowledge and expose participants to store leadership opportunities. The internship is the first step in an accelerated pathway to additional store leadership roles.

Interns that convert into a full-time role with Meijer will participate in structured development programs and leadership rotations to build leadership capabilities and retail business acumen.

Qualifications

• The Meijer Store Leadership Internship is an experiential program designed for students currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
• Ability to work flexible shifts to gain exposure to the full operation of the store.
• Past leadership responsibilities in work or extracurricular activities strongly preferred.
• Passion for retail and a desire to enter store leadership.
• Drive for results with a customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day operations within various departments of the store.
• Mentor and coach team members to ensure customer service and sales goals are exceeded.
• Spend majority of time in-store communicating with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service.
• Promote a safe work environment and maintain Meijer standards.
