Job summary

Meijer Store Leadership Internship offers students a hands-on path to retail leadership within a large, family‑owned company. You will engage in a structured program that builds retail knowledge, leadership traits, and operational acumen through rotations and development opportunities.

During the internship, you will lead an Intern Team Leader role, drive customer service excellence, and participate in leadership development activities.

Qualifications

• Experiential program designed for students in a Bachelor's degree program.
• Ability to work flexible shifts to gain exposure to full store operation.
• Prior retail experience preferred but not required.
• Leadership experience in work or extracurricular activities is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach staff to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Promote safe work environment and Meijer standards of service.
• Ensure coverage during peak hours and communicate effectively with customers and team.
