Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to direct store operations and drive sales while delivering excellent customer service. You will lead a team across departments, manage inventory and labor, and ensure safety and compliance standards are met.

In this fast-paced role, you’ll develop leaders, communicate goals, and uphold Sprouts values to create a positive shopping experience and strong store performance.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of retail experience.
• Experience leading department operations with P&L, safety, sanitation, staffing.
• Professional communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant HR/time systems.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Safety certification and ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Direct store operations across departments to drive sales and customer service.
• Lead a team of department managers and receivers with integrity and care.
• Manage inventory, labor, and expenses to meet targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, labeling, health, and sanitation standards.
• Develop leaders, communicate expectations, and provide feedback.
• Maintain top item knowledge and execute promotions and pricing changes.
• Oversee backroom organization, displays, stocking, and merchandising.
• Address emergencies and resolve issues with urgency.
