Job summary

HomeGoods, part of The TJX Companies, Inc., is seeking a Key Carrier to support store operations in Blue Springs, MO. This role blends frontline customer service with leadership duties, including acting as Manager on Duty and coaching Associates.

Key Carriers must be available nights and weekends and excel at communicating priorities, maintaining coverage, and upholding company policies. Competitive hourly pay starts at USD 17.00–17.50 with benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard store software and procedures.
• Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Able to coach, delegate, and follow-up with multiple people and tasks.
• Ability to multi-task under pressure.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• At least 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides appropriate coaching to Associates
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
