Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; address gaps and counseling as needed.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings to enforce safety and policies.
• Ensure store is opened and closed each day in a compliant and efficient manner.
• Evaluate operating statements for trends, expense control, shrink, and accuracy.
• Order to meet in-stock targets; review ordering plans and inventory issues weekly; handle BSR/cycle counts.
• Facilitate staging, stocking and storage of merchandise following company processes.
• Present merchandise according to standards; manage pricing and signage.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and cash controls; ensure security practices.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and maintain a clean, safe store.
• Ensure tools and equipment are available; comply with SOPs and deadlines.
