Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, and procedures.
• Mathematical calculations including percentages relevant to POS and inventory.
• Knowledge of cash handling, cashier accountability and deposits.
• Ability to operate a cash register and generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure store is staffed.
• Provides proper training, conducts performance evaluations, and counsels when needed.
• Makes recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinates meetings.
• Ensures store opens and closes regularly; maintains staffing.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
• Oversees ordering to meet in-stock targets; monitors inventory and cycle counts.
• Facilitates stocking and merchandising per company processes.
• Ensures merchandise presentation, pricing, and signage are up to standard.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and controls damages and shrink.
