Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to assist the Store Manager with daily store operations, staffing, merchandising, inventory, and cash controls. This role helps develop internal candidates for the Store Manager role and is held for a limited period.

Frequent walking, standing, stocking, and driving between Dollar General stores are expected. A valid driver’s license is required and prior retail leadership experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two+ years in leadership or managerial role.
• Retail grocery experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Aufgaben

• Assists in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assists with store merchandising by facilitating staging, stocking and storage per guidelines.
• Assists in all aspects of inventory management and prepares inventories.
• Follows prescribed ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provides customer service leadership to staff and customers.
• Acts as a role model by following company policies and procedures.
• Participates in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensures the safe deposit of company funds and cash controls.
• Maintains clean, well-stocked store and a safe environment.
• Operates store in the manager’s absence when needed.
• Reviews operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
• Completes all paperwork and documentation on time.
