O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role will lead store team members when the Store Manager is absent or during opposing shifts, with bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

The position emphasizes customer service leadership, staffing for peak hours, team coaching, and participation in hiring.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure staffing during peak hours.
• Assist the store manager in setting team goals, coaching, and ensuring training is up to date.
• Participate in recruiting tasks, scheduling interviews, and selecting qualified team members.
• Handle phone inquiries per company policy and ensure timely processing of buy online/ship to store, transfers, and outside purchases.
• Ensure efficient returns, exchanges, and correct refunds; manage invoicing of merchandise including core charges and warranties.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks to team members.
• Perform opening/closing duties and secure money, deposits, and building security.
• Assist in maintaining store facilities and delivery vehicles; perform other duties as assigned.
